When clients entrust us with their vision for the second half of their home, it is a testament to the strong relationship we have built together. We couldn't have been more thrilled to join forces with our past clients one more time to create endless elegance on Elsely. Their confidence in our design process allows us to collaborate seamlessly, ensuring that every detail reflects their style and enhances their living space. We transformed the dark and cold, poorly finished basement into a vibrant and inviting space by incorporating larger windows to maximize natural light and installing a subfloor that enhances warmth and comfort. The addition of ample lighting fixtures brought an uplifting brightness to the area. To complete the transformation, we curated custom furniture from VanGogh Designs, complemented by a stylish rug from Surya, and selected accessories that offer both functionality and flair, making it the perfect setting for hosting a lively card game or a cozy family movie night.
We added much-needed storage under the stairs to accommodate children's toys and games, creating an organized and functional space. In addition, we incorporated decorative shelving around the television and the new gas fireplace surround, which enhances the room's aesthetic while providing a practical display for books and decorative items. This thoughtful design not only maximizes every inch of the area but also fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere for family gatherings.
Making the home gym space more inviting was at the top of our to-do list, and the clients absolutely love the bright, functional new area. We updated the adjacent bathroom by replacing a leaking toilet with a stunning Kohler model, adding a corner shower, and installing a brand new navy blue vanity that complements the overall design. The tile floor truly stands out, as we embraced creativity in its selection, bringing a unique flair to the space while ensuring it remains practical for everyday use. This transformation not only enhances the gym experience but creates a cohesive and appealing environment that the clients can enjoy.
On the main floor, we updated the laundry room with custom cabinetry, enhancing functionality and providing ample space for organization. A convenient hanging bar and additional pantry storage were also added, creating an inviting environment that makes even folding laundry enjoyable.
The principal suite, on the second floor, was the last room on our list, undergoing a complete overhaul. We relocated walls to create a functional closet for her, while preserving a closet for him, and added a vanity nook perfect for makeup application and quick nail colour changes. The ensuite was fully renovated and enlarged to include a luxurious tub and his-and-her vanities. The stunning shower features polished nickel fixtures and a custom glass enclosure that elevates the space.
Our clients now have a cohesive and complete home that radiates beauty and functionality, and we are thrilled with the outcome.
